IPhone 15 Pro Displays Tipped to have thinner bezels With Curved Edges

With the release of next Apple's iPhone models still a few months away, the rumour machine is beginning to catch up. The earlier leaks of models like the iPhone 15 Pro models hinted that they would feature solid-state power and volume buttons as well as using titanium (instead of stainless steel) for the frame. The latest rumor is pointing to further modifications to the design of the display indicating that it will sport smaller bezels as well as curving edges, laid out in a way that is similar to the current Apple Watch models.

A string of tweets posted by AppleShrimpPro, a tipster, has revealed specifics of displays of the coming iPhone 15 series. The tipster says that the Apple iPhone 15 Pro models will have displays that feature smaller bezels as well  as curving edges. But, the curving edges only apply to the front glass, as the displays below are described as flat. It is likely that they will create the appearance of having a curved edge display just as models like the Apple Watch Series 7 and Series 8 models where the display glass blends seamlessly into the rounded frames (or the case). It is believed that the iPhone 15 models are also believed to have flat displays and curving edge glass.

The tipter also declares it will sport the same size display as the current iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models. Furthermore, the regular iPhone 15 models are also expected to feature Dynamic Island cutouts which were exclusive to the "Pro" models released in the past. The models in all models will also receive an upgrade to the Ceramic Shield treatment as well similar to the models that were discontinued. The source says that there is no planned upgrade to Dynamic Island on models that are the iPhone 15 models.

The Apple iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to receive the highest amount of updates this year, as per the latest report. However, TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously stated in a post that coming iPhone 15 Pro models would have a new frame as well as buttons that are solid-state (with 2 additional Taptic Engines) He recently emphasized on the same subject by providing more information, including that the components are out of Cirrus Logic. He also said that if the users are able to adapt to the new solid-state buttons Apple might include them to other "high-end" models. The added Taptic motors are believed to replicate the feel of pressing down the button, but without actually pressing the button just as Apple has been able to achieve using its trackpad in recent MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops technology.

With all the anticipated upgrades, Apple is also said to increase the cost for its iPhone 15 Pro models in 2024. Its base iPhone 15 Pro model, according to a report, is expected to begin from more than 1000 dollars. The source said that the reason behind making this decision is to increase the gap between standard models and Pro models since the regular models are expected to have additional features that are 'Pro' grade, such as Dynamic Island and more powerful cameras. Apple's brand new iPhone range, as per the pattern, is expected to be revealed in September of this year.
